Stop renting your ASO tools.

A native Mac app for managing App Store metadata, keywords, and AI drafting — across both iOS and Google Play. Your data stays on your Mac. Your AI runs on your own OpenRouter key. No browser tabs. No per-seat SaaS bills.

apASO showing an app's metadata side-by-side across multiple locales

Built for the work you actually do

Every feature exists because shipping App Store updates across dozens of locales — with translations and keyword tracking — should not require six SaaS subscriptions and a browser with twenty tabs open.

Edit every locale in one place

Side-by-side editor for titles, subtitles, keywords, descriptions, promo text, and what's-new across all your locales. Live character counters, baseline diffs against the live store, and consistency checks catch over-limit fields and missing translations before you push.

One API key. Any AI model.

You don't need an OpenAI account. Or an Anthropic account. Or a Google AI account. Just one OpenRouter key — and apASO gives you Claude, GPT, Gemini, Llama, DeepSeek, Grok, and dozens more behind the same UI. Switch models per task. Pay OpenRouter directly. No markup, no proxy — your prompts go straight from your Mac to the model.

Inline drafting, batch translation, keyword discovery

Generate listing copy with the model of your choice and a brief that flows automatically into every prompt. Translate one locale into thirty in a single batch. Discover new keywords from your description, your competitors, and your category — then add the winners to tracking with one click.

Real keyword research without the SaaS bill

Track keywords per app and per market. Run on-demand rank scans that hit Apple's own search endpoints — same data the $99/mo tools sell back to you. See keyword density across every locale's metadata so you know which terms you've already optimized for and which are wasted.

Snapshots, diffs, and an undo button

Every push to App Store Connect or Google Play shows a full diff first — no surprises. Save a named snapshot before any risky change and restore it in one click if a translation goes sideways. Activity log records every sync, push, and locale edit so you always know what changed and when.

iOS and Google Play, one workspace

Manage Apple App Store and Google Play listings side-by-side. Per-storefront feature gating means you can't accidentally push a Play-only field to ASC or vice versa. Same keyboard shortcuts, same AI workflow, same snapshot system across both stores.

Native, fast, yours

Built in Swift on a modern Mac stack. Launches in under a second. Works offline for everything except syncing with the stores. Your metadata, keywords, snapshots, and credentials live on your Mac — not on a server we can lose, get hacked, or shut down.

FAQ

Do I need an OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google AI account?

No. apASO uses only OpenRouter — a single gateway that gives you Claude, GPT, Gemini, Llama, DeepSeek, Grok, Qwen, and dozens more behind one API. You create one OpenRouter account, get one API key, and pick which model to use per task right inside apASO. Pay OpenRouter directly, pay-as-you-go, no markup from us. AI features are also entirely optional — metadata editing, keyword tracking, and push to the stores all work without any AI key.

What does it cost?

Free to download and use during the current early-access period. apASO will eventually move to a low monthly subscription — when it does, all users will need to subscribe to continue. We'll announce pricing and the exact switchover date with enough notice that nobody is caught off guard.

Where does my data live?

Locally, on your Mac. apASO stores App Store metadata in a local SwiftData database. Your App Store Connect API key, Google Play service account, and OpenRouter key live in your Mac's keychain. Nothing transits a server we control — App Store Connect calls go straight to Apple, Google Play calls go straight to Google, AI calls go straight to OpenRouter. We're not in the middle of any of it.

How does this compare to AppFigures, AppFollow, or Sensor Tower?

Different shape of tool. Those are SaaS dashboards — you log in, they sit between you and the stores, you pay per app per seat per month. apASO is a native Mac app you install once. It edits and pushes metadata directly to App Store Connect / Google Play through the official APIs (those tools mostly read, not write). Pricing scales with you, not your app count. Trade-off: no team collaboration, no shared dashboards. Built for solo and small-team indies.

What if I'm offline?

Most of apASO works offline — editing metadata, browsing your snapshots, reading what's already synced. Only operations that need the internet (sync from ASC, push edits, rank scans, AI generation) require a connection. Edits made offline queue up locally and push when you reconnect.

Will this be on the Mac App Store?

No plans for now. Direct distribution lets us ship updates the same day they're built (no 1–2 week MAS review queue), avoid Apple's 15–30% cut, and give you a single license that works regardless of your Apple ID region. The app is notarized by Apple and signed with our Developer ID, so Gatekeeper trusts it just like a MAS app.
